Ice Prince, fourth Nigerian artiste to win BET Awards in California
Wow!!! It is champagne popping all the way at the Chocolate City camp, as Panshak Zamani popularly known and addressed by his stage name, Ice Prince, won the ‘Best African Act‘ at the 2013 edition of the BET Awards in California.
The Niger State born rapper was said to have received the award at the BET Broadcast Centre, just few hours before the award giving kicked off properly at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
It is indeed no small feat for the brain behind ‘Oleku’ and ‘Superstar’, one of naija’s hottest hit tracks, as he beat the 2011 winner and fellow Nigerian, 2face Idibia, Toya Delazy from South Africa, Donald from South Africa, Ghanaian R2Bees and Radio & Weasel from Uganda.
This feat makes Ice Prince the fourth Nigerian artiste to win the award as 2face and D’banj jointly won it in 2011, while Wizkid did so in 2012.
