Senator, Delta Central, Chief Pius Ewherido dies at 51

             
                                          

The PDP Senator representing Delta Central, Chief Pius Ewherido is dead.

The 51 years old, Urhobo born Senator who is serving his first term died few minutes ago at the National hospital, Abuja. Chief Ewherido was rushed to the hospital three days ago after he was said to have eaten poisonous meal on Thursday night.

                                 

The passing away of the senate was confirmed by sources close to the Senate President and Delta State Government.

Checks however revealed that the late senator had perfected plans to run for the office of the governor in Delta come 2015 on the platform of newly formed APC.

                                                        

Report said that there have been rumours of the deceased political face-off with DPP governorhsip candidate in the last election, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru in the past over the control of DPP structure in Delta.
