Chris Colfer Breaks Silence To Pay Tribute To Late Glee Co-Star Cory Monteith.

The actor chose the day of a memorial service remembering the life of Cory, who died earlier this
month aged 31, as the perfect time to post a tribute message on Twitter.

The 23-year-old has joined co-stars Jane Lynch, Jenna Ushkowitz and Dianna Agron to all pay tribute to the Canadian-born actor, who died July 13 of a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.

Although Lea Michele has yet to talk about Cory's passing she headed up a memorial at Paramount Studios on Thursday along with Glee creator Ryan Murphy for the cast and crew.

'Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,' a producer for 20th Century Fox Television said in a statement.

'We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.'

Afterwards Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron, Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Harry Shum Jr. were seen heading for lunch together at A.O.C. restaurant as they continued to remember Cory.

A small shrine had been erected outside the studios, with fans leaving flowers, candles, messages and even Slurpee cups in tribute to the actor, who died aged 31 from a heroin and alcohol overdose.

Jane Lynch later told TMZ: 'It was beautiful. And still really sad, but it was beautiful.' She added that it was 'nice to all be together again.'

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Cory was planning a birthday surprise for his girlfriend Lea before he died.

The actor was hoping to surprise his co-star beau for her 27th birthday, which is on August 29, and had been making arrangements before he was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, Canada.
