President Barack Obama kicked off his birthday weekend with a round of golf at an Air Force base outside Washington as he turns 52 on today.
The president left the White House unusually early on Saturday for the trip to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland to squeeze in some golfing time before heading to Camp David in the afternoon.
The White House said there were three golfing foursomes, including Obama friends from Hawaii and Chicago, and current and former staffers.
Some of Obama's friends are expected to join him at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland's Catoctin Mountains.
Obama is scheduled to return to the White House on today, Sunday.
