Nollywood Actor, Pa Kasumu's Colleagues Allegedly Fight Over His Cash Donation

                                   
Veteran actor, Kayode Odumosu, known as Pa Kasumu is really not at his best as we speak due to some health challenges. He is said to have been undergoing treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Mushin, Lagos State for secondary prevention of repeat stroke which is to gradually impairing his vision and memory.

                            

According to reports, as Pa Kasmu battles with his health, some of his colleagues in the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) are busy seriously fighting over a certain amount of money, a free will donation made by an Ogun State based businessman.

It was reported that a certain businessman from Ogun State had donated about N600, 000 to save the ailing Nollywood actor through his colleagues in ANTP some weeks back, but shockingly, we hear that there has been an unending chaos among the colleagues over the sum of money.

Also, another group of Nollywood practitioners consisting of production crew and veteran acts under the name of ‘committee of friends’ were said to have approached Pa Kasumu over opening a new different bank account where donations would be made but his family members vehemently fought against the idea.

Recently, we hear a total sum of N5.5million naira have been donated to the ailing actor by the Lagos State Government and Ogun State Government.

When contacted, members of the Odumosu family refused to comment, affirm or deny the above story. According to them, the only important thing to the family at the moment is how to raise the remaining money needed to save their own.

The veteran actor who has acted in hundreds of Nigerian movies. He suffered a partial stroke in 2009 and has been battling with a heart disease arising from different complications including kidney problems.
