Gulder Ultimate Search 2014 Day 17: Satisfaction Guaranteed

Task: Market Day - How Much Food Can They Get?

In this task, the power to pack as much food as possible from a set of basket (warehouse) of foodstuffs (Garri, Yam, Pawpaw) lay in the hands of the contestants as they have to convey the food items from the basket at one end to another at the other end in a relay format, each member of the team making about four trips.

The foodstuffs collected from the warehouse must be balanced on their head untouched as the make their way through obstacles – climbing a the first beam, a see-saw and then going under another beam to the other side to offload the foodstuffs. They are to pour the food stuffs in the baskets on their heads into another basket on the floor without touching the basket, even if the basket was falling off their heads or the foodstuffs poured.

The contestants were paired in twos: Chinedu/Sharon; Cosy /Evi; Emmanuel/Samantha & Otto/Noela to carry out the task. Chinedu and Sharon didn’t finish conveying their foodstuffs before the mall was closed.
After the task, the contestants were asked to continue working on the clues to get a possible answer which they will reveal at the place of the talking drum.

Back in the tent, a big surprise awaited them, a gift from the council of elders - a crate of cold gulder and two chickens.

The significant objects were returned to the Place of the Talking Drum.

After several efforts of trying to define/put together the meaning of the lettered tiles gotten from all the found significant objects to arrive at a possible answer, the contestants came up with,

“See the heart of the hunter”

Having not had sufficient food for about two days, the food supply was to prepare them to embark on the search to retrieve the General’s Helmet.

The lesson Ikenna E took away from the GUS is never to take anything (no matter how insignificant it may appear) for granted any more. “Little things are valuable,” he said.
