Chris Attoh exits Tinsel while Gbenro is suspended

Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh confirmed his departure from popular TV series 'Tinsel'.

The actor, famed for the role of Kwame Mensah, says he want to explore other career interests.
In a statement released by his South Africa based management, Waka Talent, Attoh said: ''The last seven years on Tinsel have been an incredible journey and experience for me. Working with M-Net was phenomenal and it took a lot of deliberation but I have decided to pursue other career interests,''
Attoh famously worked as a reporter and TV host before his break into acting, but it's believed the star wants to leave the the M-NET produced show to develop his skills in TV and movie production.

Meanwhile, fellow 'Tinsel' actor Gbenro Ajibade has been suspended from the show after he failed to arrive to work for a series of shoots which involved his character 'Soji Bankole.'
Gbenro allegedly neglected his role on the TV series to travel to the U.S. for the Africa Fashion Week in New York where he worked as a runway model. Insiders claim he still decided to travel out of the country knowing that his role at Tinsel was pending.

A source told Nigeria Entertainment Today: ''Gbenro knew he had roles to play but categorically told us he was still going to travel''
It is unclear when exactly his suspension took place but Gbenro and his representatives are yet to comment on the speculation.
