I’m Considering Calls On Me To Contest In 2015 - Adamawa State Governor, Bala Ngilari

Adamawa State Governor, Bala Ngilari has accepted the governorship nomination form presented to him by a group, Adamawa Progressive People Movement, saying he will consider the calls made by the people for him to contest.

Ngilari made the statement in Yola shortly after he was presented with a PDP gubernatorial nomination form by the group, saying he will take his final decision on his political future after prayers and consultation with the people of the state.

Ngilari said: “I have accepted the form. The voice of the people is the voice of God but I will consult prayerfully so that at the end of the day, it will be the decision of Adamawa people.” The governor said he was previously planning to contest for senatorial seat in Northern Senatorial District but with this development, he will embark on prayers for God to guide him in taking the right decision.

He called on the electorate to discard politics of ethnicity and religion for the state to move forward.

Presenting the nomination form to Ngilari, Arch Lawrence Ngbale said: “The people of Adamawa State want you to contest for governor, not Senate. With the people by your side, victory is surely yours.”

Ngbale said 13 groups raised more than N150 million to purchase the nomination form and assist his electioneering campaign.
