NFF Sacks Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi

The head coach of the country’s national team, the Super Eagles, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has been sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The decision was made by the executive committee of the newly constituted Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday night, at a meeting in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

"In the interest of Nigeria football and the desire to ensure qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals, the Committee decided to relieve them of their duties with immediate effect," NFF explains.

Keshi is replaced by 56-year-old Shaibu Amodu, a former coach of the team and will be supported by Salisu Yusuf, Gbenga Ogunbote and Aloysius Agu; former player, Garba Lawal will serve as the team‘s coordinator.

Super Eagles beat their Sudan counterpart 3-1 in their match yesterday, Wednesday at the National Stadium Abuja.
